She is almost a year!

We had out appointment with the pediatric cardiologist yesterday.  He said that we are becoming a boring patient.  I am very happy to be called a boring patient.  T is gettting so big, her heart is perfect. I still can't help but wonder if the heart block is ever going to come back.  I sure hope not. She will be a year in April and I can't even believe it!  One year ago we welcomed a true miracle into our life!

To introduce myself.....

Well hello all,

My name is Katie.  I am starting this in hope that I can help other parents with children that have had congenital heart block.  My story is a very happy one.  My hope is that we can get the word out there, we need more funding for research to help continue to cure heart block in our unborn children.
I was pregnant with our third child, when we were told that out baby had 2nd degree heart block.  We then entered a study in Madison, WI that proved to be a miracle.  We are the first case in the world (that we know of) to ever have the heart block reversed in utero.  I want to help other parents that need information on this.  It has become my passion because my daughter is living proof that it is possible.  I am currently in nursing school to further help and plan on going into research for this condition.  I truely believe I have been given a gift to help parents in need of information.  Thanks for reading!
